Filed under: Uncategorized — Psych Crime Reporter @ 5:48 pm

Forty Fort psychologist Jeff Fremont must pay more than $4,500 in fines and fees due to poor record-keeping practices, the Pennsylvania Department of State announced in a press release Thursday.

Because he “displayed gross incompetence, negligence, or misconduct in carrying on the practice of psychology,” according to the state’s August report, the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs hit Fremont with a civil penalty of $3,000, another $1,453.31 in investigation costs and put his license on probation for no less than nine months. He must also complete a minimum of 20 hours of remedial education in patient record keeping and child custody law and ethics.

In total, the bureau announced disciplinary actions against 134 licensed or commissioned professionals and organizations around the state. Five individuals, including a barber, are from Luzerne County.
