On November 16, 2011, the psychiatrist Satyendra Kumar Diwan permanently surrendered his license to the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. According to the Board’s Consent Agreement and Order Diwan engaged in unprofessional conduct by sexual exploitation of three female patients. Diwan admitted to an investigator from the State’s Bureau of Enforcement and Investigation (BEI) that:

He treated patient L.W. from about 1988 through 1991 and that during that time, he engaged in inappropriate touching, kissing, exposing himself and, on one occasion, ejaculating on L.W.

On or about 1988, he began treating patient R.S. for marital and sexual abuse issues. Diwan admitted placing his hands inside of R.S. bra and pants and that he exposed himself, as well as placed her hand on his exposed penis.

That beginning in June 2009, he began treating patient J.S. and on three consecutive session in July 2010, he asked J.S. unrelated sexual questions. On or about August 5, 2010, he kissed J.S. and touched her right breast.

Diwan admitted to BEI that he still has the urge for such contact with patient and continues to kiss patients.
